About Roraima

Roraima is one of the 27 federal units of Brazil. It is situated in the north of the country, being the northernmost state of the federation. Its limits to the north and northwestern Venezuela, Guyana to the east, southeast Pará and Amazonas south and west. It occupies an approximate area of 224,300 km ², slightly smaller than Romania, being the fourteenth largest Brazilian state. In Boa Vista, only Brazilian capital entirely in the northern hemisphere is the seat of state government.
